Usciranno singolarmente il 5 agosto i sei album in studio di David Bowie contenuti nel quinto cofanetto “Brilliant Adventure [1992-2001]” uscito l’anno scorso. I vinili e i CD sono già pre-ordinabili.

Gli album di David Bowie che saranno acquistabili singolarmente dal 5 agosto sono Black Tie White Noise del 1993, The Buddha of Suburbia (anch’esso del 1993, ma pubblicato negli Stati Uniti solo molto più tardi), 1. Outside del ’95, Earthling del 1997, “Hours…” del 1999 e infine l’album postumo Toy.

Le uniche cose che rimangono esclusive del cofanetto Brilliant Adventure [1992-2001] sono pertanto la compilation Re:Call 5 e il concerto completo e senza modifiche del BBC Radio Theatre del 27 giugno 2000.

L’album Toy è un caso indicativo della macchina produttiva e commerciale della Parlophone: da semplice curiosità inedita che tutti i fan attendevano da anni, è diventato a tutti gli effetti un album ufficiale. In passato, queste raccolte o progetti inediti erano rimaste esclusive del cofanetto. Toy, oltre ad essere presente nel cofanetto Brilliant Adventure [1992-2001], è uscito già singolarmente in un box dedicato di 3 CD, in un box dedicato di 6 LP, e con un EP per il Record Store Day. Ora, questa versione “standalone”.

Tutti gli album sono in doppio vinile nero, ad eccezione di “Hours…” che è un LP singolo. Le versioni CD saranno probabilmente custoditi in jewel case e non saranno in confezione vinyl replica.

Tutte le ristampe sono state rimasterizzate nel 2021 e usciranno il 5 agosto. Sono già pre-ordinabili su Amazon ai link riportati sotto.

La Crew di VG è formata da Daniele Federici e Paola Pieraccini. Daniele Federici è organizzatore di eventi scientifici ed è stato critico musicale per varie testate, tra cui JAM!. E'autore di un libro su Lou Reed del quale ha tradotto tutte le canzoni, prima di farlo con quelle di Bowie. Paola Pieraccini, imprenditrice fiorentina, è presente su VG fin dall'inizio e lo segue dagli anni '70. Entrambi hanno avuto modo di incontrare Bowie come rappresentanti di VG.
